12 weeks
Here is the update from BabyCenter.com:
The most dramatic development this week: Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over two inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.
I am feeling really good these days, I have not been nauseus for a couple weeks, which is wonderful. I have a gigantic appetite, which I try to control, but sometimes the baby just asks for some m&ms, so I give the baby what it wants. I have still been going to the gym, which is awesome, I am glad I feel good enough to work out on a regular basis. My pants are starting to get tight, which is a horrible feeling, but atleast I know it's normal and it's bound to happen. Soon, I will need to start shopping for some new clothes. That motherhood maternity gift card I got for Christmas will come in handy soon.

Scary week
Last Sat. I went into urgent care with cramps and spotting, which is incredibly scary for a pregnant woman and they could not find the heartbeat. After having an ultrasound and getting a nice little wave from the baby to let us know everything was fine, they sent me home. All is well. I went to the doctor yesterday for a follow up to Sat. and the doctor reassured me that sometimes this just happens to pregnant women, although we immediately think it's bad, it sometimes just happens for no reason. They did a bunch of tests and everything turned out fine, so if anything we got a great picture of Baby W.

Surprise
We celebrated Brent's graduation at Olives restuarant on Friday night and he surprised me with this beautiful ring. He says it was for putting up with him the last two years while he was in school. I was completely surprised, it was great!
I am so glad he is done with school now, he can start cooking for me again, ha. It has been a good weekend just hanging out together and being able to do whatever, not having to worry about when he will study and have some free time.
Congratulations to my cousin Emily and her husband Brett, they just had a baby girl today, Sarah Lynn.

Graduation Celebration!
Tonight we are celebrating Brent's graduation from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a dinner at Olives, the new restaurant in the Hilton in Mankato. We are so excited to get together with our parents and Curt and Christine for a fun night. Brent is so releived that he had his last final yesterday, the worst final of all of them and I am sure he cannot wait to just relax. Congrats Brent! We are all so proud of you for going back to school and earning your accounting degree.
In other news, we have no cable or internet at home, so I have not been able to download any pictures onto the computer lately. We decided to get a new cable company and things are not working out yet. They were supposed to come back yesterday after 5 and fix things and they never showed up, so now they are coming on Sat. morning. I hate to say this, but it is just sucks not having cable for 4 days. At night when we just want to sit down and relax and watch some t.v. we can't. I cannot wait for this to get fixed. Brent relied on video games last night while I wrapped Christmas presents.

Kumquat
That's right, the baby is the size of a kumquat this week, I have no idea what that is even, so doesn't help me a lot, I know last week the baby was the size of a grape, so bigger than that of course. I get a weekly update from babycenter.com that informs me of all the new changes. Every week their are tons of new happenings. This week the baby has all of it's vital organs and is now just ready to grow and grow and grow. It's crazy to think that something that is a little over an inch long has a heart, lungs, brain, fingers, toes, eye lashes, and now is getting fingernails this week. Also they said the baby is kicking like crazy, can you imagine a little inch long baby kicking, ahhhhh. How exciting, now just keep growing baby.

Christmas fun
This Saturday I helped out at an event in St. Clair called Shopping with Mrs. Claus. My Women of Today group puts it on every December, it's a time for kids to come and shop without their parents and buy gifts for them and their siblings, it's tons of fun and I couldn't resist buying this care bear for myself, Tina and Thor were very interested in it.
My mom and I spent Sunday baking Christmas goodies, it is always a good time. We baked a lot. Cut outs, peppermint bark, and peanut butter cups. yummers.

Graduation approaching
Brent had his last class today, now it's just finals week next week. I am sure this weekend will be full of studying. He had his last group presentation and his group won for best presentation in the class. I think it helped that his boss from Taylor Corp. was asked to be a judge. I guess sometimes it is all about who you know. I know that Brent is so ready to be done with school, it's been a long 2 years for him. I cannot wait to be able to hang out with him any night of the week and eat supper together every night. Enough of these group meetings and night classes and homework. We can actually go to a movie during the week again, ahhhhhh. I am so proud of you Brent, only one week to go!

We're having a baby!
We are so excited that we are having a baby, our due date is July 8. We have known for a month now and it was so hard to keep this secret for so long, I am proud that we could do it. We had our first doctor appt. last Friday and everything looks good , we got to see the heartbeat, which was amazing. I think it made it much more real to Brent and myself. Although, I have been nauseus and feeling quite tired. But I have been fortunate have not been sick. It has been a great weekend getting to tell family and friends.
I am sure I will keep everyone updated on the blog about the baby.
