I'm going cruising!

I am going on a cruise at the end of February with my boss to Mexico. She earned a trip through the insurance company she is licensed with and asked me to go. We of course have to go to some classes while on board, but I am more than excited to head to Mexico when it's sooooo cold here. I have never left the country before, we are going to Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, and Mazatlan. I was so afraid to leave my little girl for one whole week, but Brent reassured me this was an opportunity I could not pass up. So, I am going cruising for a whole week in February. Time to get out the shorts.

Crazy Hair

Audrey has a bit of a spike going on.

Audrey has been talking a lot lately, I think she is saying "Dada", it certainly sounds like it anyway.

Wig?

What Audrey would look like with long hair, ha. She lets Brent do just about anything with her and she just smiles. We had a nice weekend together. I didn't have to work much, but Brent did work most of the day yesterday, so Audrey and I hung out at my parents house and my mom made me breakfast. It was the best. Today was sort of a lazy day. Brent and Audrey watched football and I went to the gym and did some cleaning.

Lattest obsession-feet! She loves her feet and pulls her socks off all the time. Dang those footed pj's, can't seem to get those off.

99%

Still 99% for weight and height, that's our girl! Audrey is now 20lbs 15 ounces and 28 inches long, wow is exactly what the nurse said when she measured her length. Audrey is a real trooper when it comes to the shots, she cries so hard that she can't take a breath, but as soon as they are done she immediately stops crying and is fine. What a strong girl. The doctor said she is doing really well, especially with sitting up. He said, I bet everyone says, "Oh how old is your baby, 10 months old?", ha, no she is 6 months, just big. She is growing like a champ and we are so happy for that.

Surprise!

Brent threw me a surprise 30th birthday party today, I was definately surprised:) It was great, I honestly didn't think that Brent would ever throw me a surprise party. I never caught on to any of it. I had a really fun time, thanks Brent and everyone else who helped him. We are also celebrating Audrey's half birthday, she is 6 months old today, I can hardly beleive it. Tomorrow we have her 6 month check up, with shots:( I will have to report tomorrow with her latest stats.

I am giving myself a present tomorrow on my day off by having an hour massage, I am really looking forward to it. We have no pictures from my party since we didn't bring the camera. I'll leave you with a couple that I did take today.

2 teeth

So, I keep forgetting to mention that Audrey now has two teeth. I was feeling around in her mouth to check it out and I felt a tooth and then Brent noticed their were two. So, she has two bottom teeth, which she will not let us see them really, so no pics. She has not been fussy really any more than usual either, she is a real trooper. She has been tugging at her ears a little which I know they say happens with teething, putting everything she can get in her mouth and drooling a ton. We are incredibly lucky that she seems to be her regular self while getting teeth, I know it could change at any moment, maybe these are the easy teeth, who knows.

Happy New Year!

We enjoyed a nice quiet night at home with Audrey on New Year's Eve. What more could we ask for, 2008 was an incredible year with the birth of the most amazing girl. She brings so much joy to our lives, seeing her smile every day is the best. The three of us just hung out at home since I was on call. Brent brought in the new year watching the ball drop in Times Square while I brought in the new year embalming. Audrey slept. Happy 2009 everyone!
