Tomorrow we are off to Wisconsin to stay in a cabin with Brent's family for a few days. We are so looking forward to some relaxing before we move next Saturday. It's been a long two weeks getting our house ready to move into. It looks incredible and I promise to post some before and after pictures, we just haven't had time. I am so impressed with everyone who helped us the last two weeks, many of hours were spent tearing wallpaper, priming, painting, and putting up our new railing to make it safe for Audrey.
A lot has happened during our two month stay at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I have enjoyed many nights of not cooking (okay all nights). I am not sure I am going to remember how to cook, but I am so excited to use my new kitchen, a kitchen I can actually move around in. Audrey has really became close to my parents while living here, which has been awesome to see. She also learned to walk while living at my parents house. These are things we will never forget. It's been wonderful mom and dad, thanks for letting us stay and letting us invade your space for so long!
When we return from vacation it may be a while before an update with pictures unless I return to my parents house. We won't have internet hooked up for atleast a couple of weeks. Wish us luck on our move, if you feel like helping, we won't turn anyone down:)

7 Years
Happy Anniversary Brent! It's been 7 years, wow. It's crazy how different our lives are 7 years later. Life is great! Brent and I got to enjoy a Saturday night out, it was really nice. Tonight Brent is at the house stripping wallpaper and Audrey just went to sleep, so here I sit on the computer. We have been so busy with the house getting it ready to move in that I told Brent, lets not even get each other cards, ha. We are definately romantic eh:)

Painting and more painting
This weekend was a busy weekend spent painting our new house. We took turns getting to hang out with Audrey, right now the house is not kid friendly with all the painting going on. We accomplished so much this past week and weekend it's unbelievable. Our parents have been awesome, they come over without us asking and just start working, it's been wonderful. I really am starting to feel like we can actually get everything done that I wanted to before moving in two weeks.

Nicollet County Fair
We went to the Nicollet County Fair last night in St. Peter for the first time. Heidi and Lucy joined us and it was a nice night to be out and I think the girls really liked checking out the alpaca's, cows and baby pigs. Us adults enjoyed the people watching:)
Here are Heidi, Lucy, Audrey, and I taking a ride on the "Bear Affair." Lucy and Audrey never made a peep on the ride.

Como Zoo
We took a trip to the Como Zoo today, lets just say it was incredibly hot out. We have had such cool temperatures this summer that is just seemed miserable outside today. It was fun, but we did not stay too long. We then made a stop at Ikea to see if their was anything we needed for our new house. We found a nice table and chairs for our kitchen that we may have to stop back and get. Only a week until closing, we are excited to get in and start ripping off wallpaper and painting.
Look Dad, those are orangutans in there!

Busy, Busy, Busy
We have been busy the last couple of days. Tuesday night we went to my coworkers block party and Audrey was loving the kids there and all the fun toys, especially the swimming pool. She sat by the pool and kicked her feet in the water. They had square dancers at the block party and as soon as they started dancing and the music started, Audrey was dancing. She stands in place and bounces, it's the cutest thing.
Today we had a photo shoot with Aunt Christine at the Arboretum in Chanhassen, it went pretty well, can't wait to see pictures.
Grandma is trying to warm up Audrey's feet after being in the pool.
Yes, that is Audrey cruising without holding onto anything, watch out!

Brent returns
We are so glad that Brent made it home and that his team got first place. It was a long race for him, he came home limping, sore left knee and fat right ankle. He twisted his right ankle three times during portaging for the canoe portion of the race. His muscles are so sore and tight. He had so many fun stories and I guess the plan is next year Chris, Kay, Brent and I will be doing the race. I guess that means today I best start running and biking more. We will do the shorter version of the race. I did mention that I hope they are not out to win because I am pretty sure by adding me to the team we would not be winning.
Yesterday Audrey spent the whole day with Grandpa and Grandma Wood and then we met up with them at the 2009 Asleson Family Pig Roast. It's always a great time with good food. Audrey chowed down on some mac and cheese, no pig. After walking around at the lake all day, Audrey has a serious blister on her foot. I am thinking no shoes for a couple days. I guess the rubber croc like shoes are not good for someone that is on the go now. I went out and bought her some tennis shoes today, so after a couple days of healing hopefully she can be sporting her new shoes.
When Brent gets some pictures from his trip on disc, he will blog about his adventures. For now we are glad he is home, we missed him a lot!
