Boy or girl?
According to legend, the Chinese pregnancy chart was buried in a royal tomb almost 900 years ago and was just recently discovered.
To use the Chinese pregnancy calendar, you will go down the column until you get to the age of the mother at the time of conception (it could be different if the mother has had a birthday since conceiving).
Then go across that row until you get to the month the baby was conceived. If the square is blue, it’s a boy! If the square is pink a girl is on the way!

So, all of you moms out there, tell if the prediction was right, if it is, I am having a girl.

This is full body shot in a way of the baby, a good picture of it's spine.
This is some of the face and arm. I think I counted that their are 5 fingers, woo hoo. Whenever the tech would try and zoom in a little on the face, it would hide it's head behind the placenta, so this is the best shot she could get of the face.

Blue?
Tina is trying to find a comfortable spot amongst all of the blankets from the closet.
Thor checking out the new humidifier in the living room, he keeps an eye on it for us in case their are any problems.
We had a wonderful weekend, but again it went by too fast. Friday I had off of work and hung out with Heidi and Lucy. We had a great lunch and shopping outing. Saturday Brent and I visited Mindy, Jon and Natalie and went out for lunch and of course a trip to Babies R Us. It was great seeing you guys again, Natalie is tons of fun! Tonight we had pizza with Doug and Bev and then had a birthday party at Brent's cousin Brianne's place, it's her husband Steve's birthday tomorrow, Happy Birthday Steve!

Things I miss.......
I miss some things, but their are tons more things that I am so excited about that I didn't get to even think about before, such as: telling all of our family and friends we were having a baby, what color to paint a nursery, what my little boy or girls name will be, walking on the trail by our house with a baby in a stroller, watching Brent be a dad, seeing our cats with a baby in the house, what crazy names our parents will be called (papa, nana), who our baby will look like.
I started feeling the baby move recently and it's incredibly exciting, it's very random and not very consistant, but it's so exciting every time it happens. I can't wait until it's even bigger and Brent will be able to feel it move too.
So, their are things I miss, but it's all worth it for the things I get in return.

How your baby's growing:Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. If your baby is a girl, she has an astonishing 6 million eggs in her ovaries. They'll dwindle to fewer than two million by the time she's born.Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.
How your life's changing:You're just a week shy of the halfway mark. You may notice some achiness in your lower abdomen (perhaps extending to your groin) or even an occasional quick, sharp, stabbing pain on one or both sides, especially when you change position or at the end of an active day. This is round ligament pain, and it's caused by the stretching of the muscles and ligaments that support your growing uterus. It's nothing to be alarmed about, but if the pain is persistent and continues even when you're resting, or is severe or accompanied by cramping, call your practitioner. You may also have noticed some skin changes lately. Are the palms of your hands red? Nothing to worry about — it's from increased estrogen. Patches of darkened skin are also common during pregnancy. When they show up around your upper lip, upper cheeks and forehead, they're called chloasma, or the "mask of pregnancy." You may see these splotches on your arms or other areas that have been exposed to the sun. Your nipples, freckles, scars, underarms, inner thighs, and vulva may also darken during pregnancy. That darkened line running from your belly button to your pubic bone is called the linea nigra, or "dark line." All of this darkening is caused by a temporary increase in melanin, the substance that colors your hair, skin, and eyes. For most women, these darkened spots will fade shortly after delivery. In the meantime, protect yourself from the sun, which intensifies the pigment changes. Cover up, wear a brimmed hat, and use sunscreen when you're outdoors. And if you're self-conscious about your "mask," a little concealing makeup can work wonders.
