Jam Packed

We had a lot of fun this weekend, Audrey got to hang with her best pals. Friday night we went to Family Fun Night at the Y and joined Heidi and Lucy. We had not taken Audrey to the pool in months, since she could walk, so it was a whole new experience. She loves the water.

Saturday we met Heidi and Lucy at Barnes and Noble for story book hour. It was a little play on the stage in the childrens book area of the store. Audrey was really digging it and then thought she should be on stage, she kept trying to go on the stage and thought it was pretty funny. Saturday night we enjoyed supper out at Perkins with my parents and it turned out to be kids eat free. Audrey had milk with a straw for the first time, she really mastered drinking with a straw by the end of the meal.

Today we went to Kasson to visit Mindy, Jon, Natalie and Harvey. It had been far too long since we had seen them. The kids had a blast and we loved getting to hang out for the morning.





This is how we found Audrey this morning when we woke her up. That is right, she was still sleeping after 8 and we really wanted to hit the road. When you actually want them to wake up early they stay sleeping.

Today on Audrey's daycare report they said they had to keep reminding her to be gentle, apparently she kept hitting and pushing other kids. Ugghhh oh, could it be that she is just getting comfortable in the toddler room? Finally this week when we drop her off she hasn't been crying, it's such a relief, especially for Brent who drops her off the most. Hopefully this hitting and pushing is just a phase.

What a wonderful weekend to be outside, we were loving every minute of it. We spend as much time outside as we can, not knowing how easy it will be this winter. I am looking forward to the first winter where Audrey can play outside though, I hope she likes the snow as much as Brent and I do. We will have her on skis as soon as we can:)

Brent and Audrey enjoyed Saturday in Chaska at Baby Kumquats shower, I was on call and could not leave town, but I didn't have to work however. I got lots of windows washed. They are so dirty after not having anyone living in this house for two years. It was a job well done. Then Brent and I enjoyed a night out for supper while grandma and grandpa hung out with Audrey. I think she slept most of the time they were here.

Today Brent and Audrey hung out at Sibley Park and checked out the animals while I worked. Audrey is really into animals, especially now that she has a little barn and animals to put in it. She is learning all kinds of animal sounds.

Here is what Audrey is into lately:

We are trying to learn to brush our teeth, but she likes to do it herself, not sure how much brushing she is getting accomplished. We find it to be easiest to brush while taking a bath.

Who said she needs toys when you have tupperware.

This is Audrey's play house, it is right in our back yard and sort of sits on the hill by the ravine. She is just starting to want to go in there every time we go in the back yard.

Chatterbox

Audrey enjoyed the leaves in the backyard this weekend, we have tons.

Audrey is loving the toddler room at daycare, she gets to go outside every day and play, I can only imagine how excited she gets every day when it's time to go out. Naptime is not as good as it was before, but I am sure it will get better. She has been only having 1 hour naps and used to sleep for 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon, so bedtime has been incredibly early the last couple nights. I miss my time with her at night.

Today when Brent picked her up from daycare all the kids were lined up in rows sitting on the carpet listening to the teacher read a book and Audrey and one other girl were standing right next to the teacher listening. Brent thinks she is a teacher's pet:) The last two days I have noticed how much Audrey has been chatting and blabbing away, she seems to be having serious conversation with us, but I have no idea what she is saying. She will definately repeat words that we say to her. This is such a fun age, she is learning so much.

Happy Halloween

Audrey was Tinkerbell this year for Halloween. She had a blast trick-or-treating, she went to every house in our neighborhood and held her bucket the entire time and just stared at the people, ha. It was pretty cute. Her first costume we had for her was disco baby, it came with an afro wig, not such a good idea, she was so scared of the hair. Tinkerbell was a much better fit for her.

We didn't get any awesome shots of her costume, she was so mad when I put it on her, she hated it. By the end of the night she was digging it.

Graduation Day!

It seems like just yesterday that Audrey was this size and now today she graduated from the infant room at daycare and is moving to the toddler room on Monday. Where has the time gone?

They made Audrey extra special this past week by having a whole wall of pictures just of her and her family, friends, and pets. They even got a picture of her in her graduation hat, super cute! If only I had a scanner I could share it with all of you.

They said that she is soooooo ready to move on, she is getting smarter and smarter every day. Today when they starting blowing bubbles, Audrey just yelled out, "Bubbles, bubbles." They said she is the first to ever say that word in the infant room.

We are sad that she is leaving her best friend Alexis, but in two more weeks Alexis will be joining the toddlers also. The ladies at daycare said those two are like two peas in a pod, they do everything together.

The toddler room has a bit more of a schedule they follow as far as activities, meal time, naptime, going outside. They get to go outside every day, even when it snows. Audrey is going to be thrilled. Lately she just brings us her coat when she is ready to go out. I am a little concerned about naptime and expressed that at our little walk through last week, they sleep on cots in one big room. But they assured me that they wear them out in the morning and they are practically falling asleep at lunch, so it usually works out just fine and is an easy transition from the crib.

I'll fill you in next week and let you know how it's going. We have such a big girl now:)
