Cereal

Audrey tried some rice cereal for the first time, not sure what she thinks of it.

Not looking too good. She ended up eating some more, but I don't think she was digging it.

She is really loving the jumperoo, thanks Lucy for letting me borrow it!

Christmas 2008

Audrey's 1st Christmas was great, she had so much fun. She met so many new family members at my dad's family Christmas. She played cards with Great-Grandma Sonnek, actually she just wanted to eat the cards. She entertained everyone at brunch on Christmas morning at Grandpa and Grandma Wood's and then enjoyed Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Sonnek that night. At the end of the day she fell asleep and did not wake up until 7:30 Friday morning, it was a long couple of days, but tons of fun. Brent made me the most amazing gift, he scrapbooked an entire scrapbook of Audrey, it was the best! He went all out, scrapbooking paper, stickers, quotes and tons and tons of pictures, it was very impressive. I had no idea he was so crafty.

Opening her present that Uncle Adam and Aunt April sent her.

Showing off her new fur boots that Grandma Wood made.

Trying on Aunt Christine's new hat.

The most exciting thing about Christmas, wrapping paper:)

Brent even dug out the viola to see if he still had it, maybe he needs a new bow.

Her cute Christmas sweater (When I bought this I thought it was a dress, whoops).

Brent and I each got her a book for Christmas, Brent got her "I Love You, Stinky Face."

I got her the "Baby Signs" book.

Loving her new hoodie from Santa.

Even Thor was having fun with what Santa brought him.

Rolling Machine

Audrey was rolling over and over and over on Sunday, she just kept going, ever since learning to roll from her stomach to her back she can now roll across the room. This is where she ended up after rolling across the room, under the Christmas tree.

Reading the Sunday paper.

Hanging out with Grandma.

Tina taking a snooze, Thor just couldn't leave her alone.

Snowboarding

Friday night date night, we went snowboarding. It was an awesome night with tons of fresh new snow. Brent and I learned to snowboard two years ago and then last winter I was pregnant and didn't get out at all. The first run down the bunny hill was a rough one, I forgot everything I had learned. I caught on fast and soon we were cruising all over the hills. Audrey had fun with Grandpa and Grandma Wood while we were out.

Tummy to Back

Audrey has been rolling from her back to tummy and finally rolled from her tummy to her back.

We survived!

We had a great weekend, thankfully we survived the blizzard Sunday night.
Friday night Brent and I went to the Minnesota State Hockey game, my boss gets season tickets, so he always give tickets to those who have the weekend off. Doug watched Audrey and said she was just perfect. We came home to them both sleeping in the chair together, they were both wore out.

Saturday we spent some time at the bowling alley so Brent could get some practice for Tuesday night league and Audrey and I cheered him on:) We then enjoyed dinner out with Jason, Heidi, and Lucy. A nice relaxing night before our big party Sunday. We had Lucy's first birthday party which was awesome and then Christine's surprise 30th party in Chaska. Audrey was a champ the whole day and thankfully slept the whole way home from Chaska, I sure couldn't. We were just glad we got home safely after the incredible white out conditions.

Lucy enjoying her chocolate cake.

Audrey meeting Santa Claus at Lucy's party, she loved his beard.

Audrey hanging out with Aunt Christine, she had so much fun at the party.

This is one of my favorite pictures, I took it this morning. Audrey looks so grown up sitting there with my blanket on, it was freezing cold this morning.

Audrey loves hanging out with no clothes, she goes crazy every time we let her hang out before getting her pj's on.

Day off

Today was my day off, I worked out this morning and got some cleaning done and then picked up Audrey from daycare at noon and we hung out all afternoon. We went shopping and stopped by Barnes and Noble and checked out some books and had a holiday latte. We then went home and played for a couple hours, not much time for napping, but she has been sleeping since 8 tonight. She was wore out:)

She loves her baby cat.

Look at those cheeks:)

I went to a purse party this weekend, check out my new purse. I always seem to have a plain purse, usually black and so I went into this party thinking I needed something more fun. When I put this one on my arm all of the girls said this was the one, ha. Audrey loves staring at this one:)

It's the open mouthed kiss!

She loves touching our faces:)

Family time

We all enjoyed a nice four day weekend, no work for either of us. We got to spend much quality time with Audrey. Thanksgiving was at Brent's parents house and my parents came too which was really nice. It was very low key and I liked it. This is the first Thanksgiving weekend in 6 years of being a mortician that I have not worked, so I had to get to bed early and pick my mom up at 5am for shopping Friday morning. It was actually really fun and I loved, I got a ton of clothes for Audrey. I was home by 10am.

Saturday we had lunch with Heidi and Lucy, we had not seen them in so long, almost a month. It was great to catch up. Brent and I went to the movie Role Models Sat. night, it was funny. Today my mom and I baked cookies for the holiday season and Audrey even helped a little. We got our house all decked out for Christmas, it looks great. Brent even bowled a 211 today, highest score of the bowling season, woo hoo!

Audrey discovered this weekend that she loves paper!

Hanging out with Grandpa Dan before he headed off to work.

Swimming

Audrey went for her first swim tonight with Natalie, she was not digging the cold water, she lasted about two minutes before wanting out of there. It really was a cold hotel pool. Natalie could not get enough of the water, purple lips and all, it was fun! Mindy, Jon and Natalie invited us to swim with them while they were here for Thanksgiving. We had a great time.

Check out Audrey wearing Brent's little blue sweater:)

Glad the weekend is over

Brent and Audrey spent all weekend together, that is what happens when I have a busy weekend at work. Last night, although I had not seen Audrey all day really, we decided to go out bowling and out for supper with my parents and Brent's parents hung out with Audrey. I missed my little lady, but I think Brent needed some time away and he bowled his highest game yet, 192. He can't wait to go to league on Tuesday and brag it up.

Brent gave Audrey plenty of exersaucer time over the weekend, this picture cracks me up her legs and her funny smile, she is so funny.

I think dad wore her out:) We had a couple of rough nights getting Audrey to sleep, she was a real fighter, but tonight she was out right away.

A day with Dad

Brent took the day off today and spent the whole day with Audrey. They played, laughed, played some more and even went for a ride in Grandma Wood's new car, it was a great day:)

Soooooooooooo Tired

This is how I felt all day, I am exhausted. I was on call last night and was up all night with four deaths, ugghhhh, it was a long night of working and I missed the best part of the day. Waking Audrey up in the morning is so much fun because she is so happy and smiley in the morning, I missed her. Brent took care of the two of them this morning, he almost forgot to take care of himself actually. He called me on their way to daycare and told me about their morning. He got Audrey all dressed and was starting to get her in her carseat before he realized he was still in his pajamas and needed to dress himself, ha, this cracked me up. So, finally when they were both ready Audrey decided to spit up all over him and herself, but they were running late, so they both headed out the way they were. I loved that they called me to fill me in on what I missed.

4 Months

Audrey is now 4 months old! We have her new stats from the doctor today, she now weighs 17 lbs 12 ounces and is 26 1/4 inches long. She is in the 99th percentile for height and weight but only 88th for her head size. She was a real trooper with the 3 shots she got today, especially when mom and dad forgot her pacifier, poor girl.

She is learning so many things, when sitting in her seat now she is always leaning forward wanting to sit up more to check out what's going on. She loves rolling over onto her tummy, but hasn't figured out how to roll back yet. She laughs and gives out tons of smiles with her cute little dimple. She grabs for objects and can pick up toys on her own now. She is learning so much each and every day. You can see her in the picture below grabbing for her frog that plays music, one night while we ate supper she played the frog song about 6 times in a row, it was hilarious. We are having so much fun being parents, Audrey is the best. She is working on her Christmas list now, she is pumped for her first Christmas!

Check out the slippers.

Those crazy cats

I don't think I ever told the story about when we put Audrey to bed in her crib and were hanging out in the living room and could heard Tina meowing and realized we were hearing her meowing over the monitors. Brent went into Audrey's room and there was Tina sitting in the corner of the crib and Audrey was just staring at her, it was pretty funny, but thank goodness for monitors.

Being naked is the best!

Do you like my new hat?

Getting bundled up in the winter is so much work, makes a girl tired:)

I did it, I did it!

Look at me, I rolled over and I can't get enough of it! I feel so talented:)

2008 Salsa Competition

Heidi won the 3rd annual Salsa Competition that we have at our house. Bonnie has won the last two years. Jason took 2nd, so their household swept the competition. Way to go Heidi and Jason!

Audrey hanging out with her grandma's.

Too much salsa makes a baby tired.
