Overalls

These cute little overalls were Brent's when he was younger. His mom made them and Curt had a pair that had an ice cream cone patch on the front. Brent thought he had the more manly pair with the rainbow on the front. Audrey sported these for a good share of this morning.

Audrey and Brent even played dominos in the sweet overalls.

Outside, Outside, Outside!

Now that the weather is nice again, Audrey asks to go outside all the time. It's great that she loves the outdoors as much as we do! It's been a fun weekend of being outside, playing in the yard, going to parks, and taking some long walks.

Today we went with Grandpa and Grandma Wood and took a nice long walk on the wood chip trail. Audrey lost her balance at one point and rolled down a little hill, it was kind of hilarious to watch. I should have been taking pictures.

Here is Audrey with Grandpa, going off roading to check out some geese.

She got tired at this point and had to catch a ride with dad.

Too hot after a long walk, she needed to take her hat and mittens off.

I just had to throw in this picture of Thor sleeping in the sun, he is too cute.

Dirty

Before I had Audrey I used to think it was so disgusting when I saw kids that had dirty clothes, coats, yucky snotty noses that needed wiping, messy hair that looked uncombed. Why don't those parents take care of those kids! I always said, my kid will never have uncombed hair or dirty clothes, ha. I finally put Audrey's coat in the wash this weekend, it was absolutely gross, it's so hard to keep up with her dirty coat. I can wash it one day and the next they go outside at school and it's completey dirty again. Some days her nose is constantly running, it's also hard to keep up with. And the hair, she takes a bath at night because it's just easier for us, so when she wakes up , her hair can be a nightmare sometimes, but we comb it out the best we can and off we go to school, atleast it's clean right.

I think it's funny how I used to think these things and now I don't even think twice when I see little kids with dirty coats, messy hair and snotty noses:) Being a mom certainly changes the way I look at those things.

Weekend Happenings

Friday night we enjoyed some swim time at the YMCA with Jason, Heidi, and Lucy. Audrey had a blast. Saturday Heidi and Lucy joined Audrey and I for a trip to the Outlet Mall, we scored clothes big time for the girls. Saturday night Brent and I were supposed to go snowboarding, but it was raining. We figured since his parents were coming over to hang out with Audrey anyway we decided to go to a movie and out for supper. Audrey was in a horrible mood when we left her, but I guess she had a great time modeling swimsuits for Grandpa and Grandma.

Grandpa helped her get her suit on over her clothes, nice look.

Even better is when she put her head through the leg of my swimsuit.

They ended their fun night with reading some books and off to sleep right before we got home.

Today we enjoyed the afternoon hanging out with Curt, Christine and Sebastian. Christine went to get a haircut so I got to feed Seb. Can you tell who might have been a little jealous?

Here is Christine and her hot new mama look! I love the new cut Christine!

Big Helper

Lately Audrey has been really happy to just help us do whatever we are doing, she helped Brent clean potatoes for some soup, she helps clear out the dishwasher and sets everything on the counter, and she loves to help carry in groceries.

Daddy, Daddy, Daddy

The last couple days Audrey has wanted nothing to do with Mom, it's all about Dad. I cannot help her with anything, dad has to help. Dad has to help her go potty, dad has to put her socks on her, dad has to help her get a pony tail in the morning, dad has to read her books at night before bed. Tonight Brent had bowling and I took her out for a bit and when we got home she just kept repeating, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy. This morning I told her I was leaving and she just said, "Bye". What happened with being upset about me leaving, I guess it's a good thing, but it makes me a little sad that she doesn't really need me right now. It's fun to see her liking her Daddy so much though too:)
