Christmas 2010

It's been such a busy couple days, short naps, being hopped up on chocolate and presents, many Christmas celebrations to attend, we are ready for a break to get back into our routine. Christmas this year was such fun with Audrey, she is at a really fun age. She loved the little things. We will never forget her comment when she found her hair barrettes in her stocking, "Wow, these are sooooo special!" She was so funny opening presents. She has been busy, busy, busy all weekend long. We truely had a great holiday spending time with all of our family.

Leave it up to Aunt Christine to get Audrey her very own camera.

Audrey and Sebastian were perfectly content playing with Grandpa's drill box.

My grandma came over to enjoy Christmas with us at my parents house.

Brent enjoying his incredibly tall lego tower.

My dad dressing up his new Dora doll, he couldn't be happier:)

Ugly Sweater

It's impossible to get a picture close up of Brent with his eyes open, so don't mind the eyes. This was his sweater that he created for the ugly sweater contest at work. He hand sewed the penguin onto the shirt and the sparkly balls. Funny quote from his coworker Heather when she was taking his picture at work: "I can't see your green balls very well on the camera."

Shout out to my Dad!

My dad is awesome, he saved me this week when I got a flat tire on a really bad street in Mankato, bad meaning, a road you cannot just pull over on. I called him and he came rushing over to help me get the tire changed since Brent had bowling (in which Brent's parents had to rush over and watch Audrey while I was out taking care of new tires). A couple weeks ago when our van wouldn't start we needed a new battery, my dad came over to our house on his day off and took care of it for us. I think my dad pretty much knows when I call him I am in need of some assistance with my vehicles.

I just want to say thanks dad for always helping me when I call, you are the best!

Pink Tubby

Last year for Christmas Santa brought Audrey some colored tub capsules, but I realized you can't use them if your child drinks tub water. We finally got to start using them recently. She loves pink tubs.

Blizzard fun!

It was a nice weekend, even if we did have a blizzard. Sometimes it's nice to just stay home and know that we cannot go anywhere. Since we only live a couple blocks from Grandpa and Grandma Wood, we did make it over on Saturday to learn how to make lefse. Audrey had spent the night with them Friday night, so it was fun to go over and see how her night was and enjoy some fresh soup for lunch.

Here I am flipping the lefse on the grill.

Audrey took her job very seriously, she put flour on the rolling pad for us.

Here is Brent rolling out some lefse, definately the toughest part of making lefse.

Audrey enjoying some hot chocolate "kid coffee".

Reading my favorite childhood book, "But No Elephants."

It's always great to know we are staying in for the day when Audrey picks out her own outfit for the day.

Hanging out in the toy box with some serious static electricity.

Christmas Baking

Thursday my mom and I both had the day off and we baked for most of the day. Every year we spend a day baking in December. We made plenty of cut outs, which are my favorite, we also made turtles, kringla, covered pretzels, and peanut blossoms. Brent and I are trying to cut back on the snacks, so I took a lot of the treats to work and sent them home with my coworker Jennifer.

What is so funny?

Jumping on bubble wrap, that is what is so funny!
