Hangin Outside

We had some fun outside tonight, Audrey can not get enough time outside. The neighbor introduced her to her raspberry bushes and Audrey was loving them:) I think we will be making frequent stops. We promised Dad some pictures of what we were up to in case he had some internet access on his trip. We heard from Brent today and after day one on the bike his team is in first place, woo hoo!

This is Audrey's mode of transportation outside, it hurts the knees to crawl on concrete.

Helping grandma water her flowers.

I think this bench was just made for Audrey.

Let's do some limbo.

Girls Night

My friend Leslie was visiting from Arkansas so us girls got together for pizza and wine. It was a great evening with friends.

Good Luck Daddy!

Brent is leaving for a week tomorrow for the Border to Border Triathlon. He is doing it with some biking friends of his, they start in Luverne and go to the Canadian border. They have a four man team. Tuesday and Wednesday are spent biking over 200 miles relay style. They bike for so long and switch out the riders. Chris' wife and Mike's brother go along and drive the support vehicle. Thursday is spent running relay style and then Friday is canoeing, two man teams. Brent was supposed to be on this team last year and it was too close to time Audrey was due, so I would not let him go. He is really pumped for this and I am excited to hear how it goes and see pictures. I am fortunate we are staying at my parents house to have my mom's help when I am on call and plus I hate staying home alone. It will be girls week! We are going to miss Brent, but I do have to remember, I did leave for a week in February without him, it's his turn. We do have a family vacation to look forward to in August, enough of these vacations alone.

Audrey chillin in Grandpa's chair.

It was finally hot out again so we got the water table out.

2009 Heart of the Lakes Triathlon

Team Moonfish, third place relay team-Jillian, Josh, and Calvin

What a busy weekend we had and ended it with the Heart of the Lakes Triathlon in Annandale. In 2007 I did the short course triathlon on my own, but I am not in any shape to be attempting that as of now, so myself, Christine, and Carolyn decided to go relay style. Me the swimmer, Christine the biker, and Carolyn the runner. I had a good swim back in 2007 and that would be because I actually worked out on a regular basis and swam many laps at the YMCA pool. This year I swam all of about 4 times. I received an email from Curt on Friday saying he was letting me use a wetsuit and with the cool temperatures I was all over it. I have never worn a wetsuit in my life, but I was thrilled. I guess I should have tested the waters with the wetsuit prior to the race. It was an awful experience. I felt like I was being choked the whole time. Every time I would try to swim the crawl it was like someone had their hands around my neck, imagine that while swimming out in the middle of the lake. It was really kind of scary. No offense, but I never imagined Brent would beat me with a faster swim time. In 2007 I had a faster swim time by 3 minutes and today he beat me by over a minute and a half. wow, I blame the wetsuit.

We did have a blast though and it's all about being with people that you love, it was really a great day. Brent improved his time from last year by over 2 minutes, way to go babe!

Here is Team 3W's, I guess we were trying to show what our event was, do I really look like I am swimming?

I think this is when I was demonstrating what might happen if my suit fills up with water.

Brent is looking good heading into the run.

Christine and baby Kumquat coming in from the bike:)

Audrey really enjoyed her day outside at the lake, she is an outdorsy kind of girl, she had a blast. She really enjoyed meeting Callum for the first time.

Visit with Doc. Williams

Today was Audrey's one year check up. She is still hanging in on the 99% for weight, she is 27 lbs 10 ounces. She is 96% for height, 31 inches. She was not happy the minute I set her on the table in the room. She cried while getting her clothes off, she cried while being weighed, she cried while getting her ears and mouth checked out, and she definately cried while getting her three shots. Then we were not done there, she had to go down to the lab for a finger prick.

She was super happy the rest of the night, which is a big change from the last three days. She has been having some freak out moments every night and just cries and cries and we have no way of stopping it, nothing works. Pacifier just falls right out and she would continue to cry. We wondered if their was an ear infection or something, but Dr. Williams said everything looks fine. We are hoping it was just a little faze.

We have a busy weekend ahead. Tomorrow I am working at the Relay for Life, Saturday we have a birthday party for my grandma and then the big Heart of the Lakes Triathlon on Sunday. Brent will be doing the entire thing and I am doing a relay with Christine and Carolyn. I will hopefully have some fun pictures to post after the weekend.

First Birthday Fun!

We had a fun filled birthday weekend! Saturday we went to a parade in New Richland where my aunt and uncle live. Audrey was not digging the drums and the sirens, lucky we were right in fromt of their house and we could run in for cover to protect Audrey's ears. She wasn't sure of the clowns, but she didn't cry.

Sunday we celebrated with a party for Audrey, she was loving the balloons when she woke up from her nap. Good thing it didn't pop when she had it smashed up against her face.

Enjoying her own personal cake that mom made for her:) She was a real mess, isn't that what first birthdays are all about?

Audrey was not too into opening the gifts herself, but once she figured out how to get on top of this box she was really into it.

Audrey and Lucy taking a dip.

Dad helping Audrey with her new shopping cart. We had a great day, thanks everyone for coming and celebrating with us.

Happy Birthday Audrey!

I can't believe my baby girl is one today. The past year has been incredible, how different your life becomes with a child in it. We have enjoyed every minute of having Audrey in our lives. She is so special to us and our families and we couldn't ask for a better baby. Every day she is learning something new and I think we are also learning something new.
Happy Birthday my baby girl!

Havin fun!

We have a thing for putting our socks on Audrey, she loves it:)

Thor is really beginning to tolerate Audrey more, he even shares his toys. I think he hopes she will throw it like us, but she actually keeps it and plays with it herself.

New hat, now if we could just get her to keep it on.

Horray for the 4th of July!

The morning of the 4th started out a little rough, the rain did not help us in going to the parade in St. Peter. We were so excited for Audrey's first parade and she actually did okay considering the rain and sitting under an umbrella and hearing tons of fire engines blaring their sirens. About 10 minutes into the parade Audrey got hungry and we just decided it was not much fun in the rain. So, hopefully next year is better. The rest of the day was great. We went to Randy and Rachels for a potluck and had excellent food and lots of fireworks. Audrey did not mind the sounds of them at all, she didn't hardly flinch at any of the loud ones. We were impressed.

She loved playing with my socks!

Chillin in the Dora chair. Every time I tried to get her picture today she would look the other way.

Enjoying a bonfire at my parents house after Audrey went to bed.

The vampire is a HE!

Daycare spilled the beans today after the fourth bite from the vampire, it's a HE! Now onto the arm, I guess HE bites in a different spot each time looking for his favorite. I hate to be joking about this, but what do we do? I had no idea this was something that just could keep on going and going and going. I feel terrible for Audrey. Daycare always gives us an accident report and under situation today it said: "Audrey was climbing in the muscle room and was bit in the arm by her friend." Okay, who's friends just bite them. I would say this is not her friend, ha. Is thier such thing as, four strikes and you are out of daycare for biting? Find a new daycare for your vampire child.
