Long week

It's been a long week at our house. Audrey has hit the tantrum stage, good times. Almost every night something really sets her off and she goes into a full blown tantrum. I feel at times that it will never end, but it really doesn't last that long. It usually happens right after she gets home from daycare and I am working on getting supper ready. Uggghhh, it's definately the most frustrating thing for all of us. I have read up on this and it seems the best thing to do is let her just settle down on her own and let it all out. I have realized that she is at an age that she can understand time outs, I have put her in her room and closed the door and said she can come out when she is done crying. I leave her in there for a few minutes and it usually settles her down for the most part.

I am so ready for this to end. We have had some good times this week. Here is what else we have been doing for excitement, like watching dad mow the lawn (believe me, this is too much fun, ha) and pushing "Boo" around in her stroller.

This is some serious stuff, she just repeats over and over, "Daddy mowing, Daddy mowing!" She loves watching the neighbors mow also, cheap entertainment. I am guessing it won't last forever, ha.

We decided it was time to expose Boo to the outdoors, she had never taken her out until now. She acted so proud taking her out for a walk in the neighborhood.

Kiss Me Again

These girls were so hilarious today, they kept kissing each other, at one point Lucy said, "Kiss me again." Who doesn't kiss their best buddy.

Park Patrol

We have been hitting up new parks every week. Our goal is to go to all the parks in Mankato, a new park a week. It's great, because Audrey gets to experience new things to play on and then we really can figure out which ones are the best. Then we can return to the fun ones again.

This park had some seriously old school playground equipment, we were on the teter-toter (how do you spell that anyway) here, her hair is crazy.

See what I mean, I thought they banned the merry-go-round. Audrey loved pushing Brent.

This is a horrible picture, but it shows the latest in swinging, push the picnic table up close and you have a better chance of wrapping the swing around the top bar, ha.

Target Field

Brent and I enjoyed a day at the Twins Game today with some of my coworkers. My boss Kevin had tickets, but could not go because of work, so he gave Brent and I his tickets. Target Field is incredible, it was so much fun. It was actually my first Twins game ever. What an awesome day in April to enjoy an outdoor baseball game.

Here is the view from our seats. Their isn't really a bad seat in the place.

Meet "Boo"

Audrey has never shown a lot of interest in her baby, but last night she finally named her, "Boo". I like it!

Here she is sharing her paci with her.

Giving her a very friendly pat.

She even shared her socks with Boo.

Happy Birthday Grandma Julie!

I love this picture, we were out visiting Grandma and Grandpa at the campground. Maybe this year I'll actually stay the night Grandma and experience camping for the first time.

We went out to the Pizza Ranch tonight for Grandma's birthday and Audrey was a terror. She hated being in a high chair, she didn't want certain foods, she never liked it if one of us left the table and then her milk spilled off the table, not a good comination. Then she saw her friend Malia from school and she actually yelled out, "Hi Malia". It was great, she has never called any of her friends from school by name before.

Hope you enjoyed your birthday Grandma, sorry I was so naughty! You should have come home with us, I was a little angel at home:)

Haircut

I was trying so hard to grow Audreys bangs out, but I just felt bad for her , it was looking pretty shaggy. So, I attempted to trim it up myself. I think it turned out pretty well, the first time Grandma Bev tried it Audrey freaked out and it ended up a bit crooked, Audrey just wasn't into it. So, I think this time went much better. She kept thinking her hair that was laying on the floor was an "icky bug."

Okay, I just had to throw this picture in, haha. Brent thinks she looks like she hit the booze a little hard.

Momma, Night, Night!

The last two nights, Audrey has grabbed her blanket and said, "Momma, Night, Night." She usually goes to bed at 8, but it's been 7:30 and 7 that she has wanted to go to bed. It's crazy, this nice weather must be wearing her out at school, she has been super tired.

Easter Day Fun!

We had a great Easter today, it was a long day for Audrey. She didn't have much for an afternoon nap, so she was completely exhausted by the end of the day. She had a blast hanging out with a couple of my cousins girls. They enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt, playing with bubbles, getting dirty in the sand, and basically just running around. Audrey then got to enjoy a second Easter Egg hunt when we got back to Mankato, except it was all hers, no sharing. Cousin Seb is too small this year, but watch out next year.

Audrey loved chasing bubbles.

This small mobile hamster was quite a hit with the girls. It was so popular it caused a couple struggles.

Hunting for eggs with Grandma Julie.

My cousin Emily was throwing the tennis ball for her dogs and Audrey was sooo mad because she wanted the ball that the dog had, so she went and got her own ball, one that the dogs couldn't have, smart chick.
