Checkin in

We closed on our house today and everything went well. It's such a relief to be done, I was so nervous about it for some reason. Now we are just looking forward to our new house in August. Here is what we have been doing to keep entertained at Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Laughing

Checking out the new scenery

Eating great meals

And laughing some more.

New digs

Here I am typing from my new pad. So far, so good. It's day two and we are still all getting along:) It was a long day yesterday and I can't beleive we have to do it again in two months. I am not looking forward to that one bit.

Audrey has adjusted very well to her new room. She slept like a champ last night and went right to sleep again tonight. Tina and Thor on the other hand woke us up several times hissing at each other. Something about the new place and smells that makes them fight. They have been spending lots of time under the couches in the basement. We have seen them out more and more today and Tina even ventured up the stairs but some noise freaked her out and she went flying back downstairs under the couch. Poor cats. I feel so bad for them and am sad that we have to do this to them once more in such a short time. They will just be getting used to this place and we will move again.

Today Brent competed in the North Mankato Triathlon. We are so proud of him, he did well! After that Audrey came home for a nap and we enjoyed brunch with some of Brent's biking buddies.

The old house is all cleaned up and ready for the new owner. One more lawn mowing tomorrow and we close on Tuesday. Wish us luck:)

Goodbye little green house!

Tonight is our last night in our little green home. This house is full of memories. Our first home we have ever owned and Audrey's first home for the first year of her life. We love this little house because of the area of town it is in. We are going to miss our walks on the Red Jacket trail. We are going to miss our brand new deck that the guys put so much time and work into. We are going to miss the neighbors that we have gotten to know over the past five years. I hope to still see some of them after we move. I can honestly say their is not much more I will miss about this house. It has gotten so cramped after Audrey was born that we have just wanted to bust out of this place ever since.

We have so many exciting things to look forward to in our new home. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a new kitchen, a large fenced in yard on a wooded lot, a culdesac with no traffic, a small rainbow play house for Audrey, lots of room for the cats to roam, and a doctor on each side of us. We couldn't feel any better about our decision to buy this house.

The next few days while we get settled in at my parents house we may not be blogging much until we figure out the computer system there and how to get our pictures downloaded. I promise an update as soon as we get all settled.

Goodbye little green house!

The vampire strikes again:(

That is right everyone, Audrey got bit for the third time at daycare today. We have no idea if it's the same kid or not. We never get to find out who bit her, they may fear we would go after them, which I am about to. This is getting rediculous. I feel so bad for Audrey. Apparently she was climbing on something today and got in the kids way and she got bit in the stomach, ouch! Remember, these are all kids her same age, because she is in a room of kids who are crawling or just learning to walk. I guess some kids are just biters. We are glad she is not the biter, but poor girl to keep getting bit.

Enjoying my new pool

Audrey enjoyed her new pool on the deck today, it was a great way to cool down. We are enjoying our last week at our very first home we have owned.

Saturday we are moving in with my parents. We now know it's going to be temporary. We have a house we are buying. The offer has been accepted and once we get the inspection done and close on our current house we will post some pictures for sure. It's the perfect house and we are so incredibly excited!

Bite #2

Okay, so apparently their is a vampire in Audrey's daycare. She got bit again today, this time it was on her back. Poor girl, when is she going to get a break.

cheap entertainment

Atleast somebody is having fun while packing to move. Audrey could play with the bubble wrap all day.

"O" My!

I have been doing this for a couple days to Audrey, peaking through the letter O and finally she decided to copy me.

Bike Race

We went downtown today and watched the Nature Valley Grand Prix bicycle race that cruised through Mankato today. It is always fun to watch it. Audrey had a good time after she finally woke up a bit. She has had a fever the last 2 days and we think it's all teething, but she definately is not as happy as her usual self.

Here are the men going up Main St. hill.

Audrey and Lucy on the hill.

Audrey figuring out the clapper.

Hanging out on the hill waiting for the riders.

This is last year on the hill for the bike race, what a difference a year makes.

11 Months

Today Audrey is 11 months old, wow, one more month and she is one year old! I can't beleive how fast the time has gone. She is getting so close to walking. She goes down the slide at daycare all by herself now, head first. The slide is not huge, but they said she has always gone head first. She is so active at daycare and always happy, except for one day I picked her up early because I had the afternoon off and I came while they were having deck time outside and she was so mad I came and got her. She cried the entire way out:( Atleast we know she enjoys her days there.

Audrey is a big eater, I bet you never would have guessed it. They said she will eat just about anything at daycare, they don't even really give her baby food anymore. When we eat supper now we pretty much give her what we are eating. Only one more month of formula.

We are enjoying our girl so much, she is tons of fun. Every time we go outside she points at the trees and every time we get out of the van she points at the dogs in the neighbors yard. She loves animals.

We are looking forward to a birthday party in a month, how fun, we are thinking pool party
on the patio at our new pad (my parents house).

How can I get to that?

Audrey always peers into her crib now and can see her paci in there and just can't get to it.

Bored

Audrey is so bored with her toys she is starting to play with the cat toys!

A new week, a new accident report at daycare. Audrey fell today and bumped her left eye on the door. It was kind of puffy and dark when she came home from daycare, but it's much better now. She is a tough chick.

Latest obsessions

Audrey is learning so much lately. She is so full of energy and keeps us all on our toes. She has not learned the meaning of "no", she laughs and giggles when you tell her no. She constantly heads towards the dvd player and the tv remotes which just about drives me crazy. Finally brent took the nobs off of the doors on the tv stand so atleast she cannot get into those anymore.

Audrey loves climbing the stairs when we don't have the gate up, she is actually really fast at this. She also loves her foam alphabet and pretty much rips it apart every day.

We moved a bunch of boxes to our storage unit today and cleaned out our temporary bedroom at my parents house to make room for our stuff. We cruised the house to see what we need to baby proof while we stay there. I think something we are both looking forward to at my parents house are the cookies my mom makes, ha. Maybe that will be a bad thing.

Are these not the cutest pants ever?

First bite

Today at daycare some little kid bit Audrey's finger. Apparently she got too close to them at the kitchen set, poor little girl, what a rough start to her day, it was right away in the morning. It did not break the skin, but you can see where it happened even tonight. She is so tough. They have to fill out an accident report and I love what they wrote on it. They said they took care of it with a cool wash cloth and tlc. I am glad she was well taken care of:)
