My little mouse and tattooed husband

Our little mouse on Halloween, she was pretty happy in her costume, but she would not fit in her car seat, so it was a lot of in and out of the costume.

Brent's costume for work. Zoom in and check out that handle bar mustache.

Kids do say the darndest things Mindy

I had a funeral yesterday for a young guy who died and his wife is a para for the second graders. She shared a story with me about a girl in her class. They all wrote her an individual card. The night of the visitation she went home and decided to finally read those cards. The one little girl wrote: "I am sorry your husband died, I hope you find a new one." It made her laugh, which was probably the perfect time for her to read that card.

Happy Halloween

Here is Audrey today ready for daycare on Halloween. We had her party last night at daycare and it was fun to see all of the kids in costumes. You will have to stay tuned to see Audrey and Brent's costume for tonight.

One year ago today:)

October 26th of last year is the day we found out I was pregnant.

It was so incredibly exciting, thinking about how we could keep such an awesome secret for over a month especially through Curt and Christines wedding, thank goodness I am not such a huge drinker. I just carried around my 7-up glass. I remember taking a pregnancy test in the morning early and I was sad when their wasn't a second line and then I went back and looked a half hour later and I thought I saw something. I didn't tell Brent and on my way to work I bought another test. I took it at work and then I knew for sure their were two lines and I was pregnant. Brent brought me lunch and I told him at work, kind of funny.

I can't believe how time flew by and now we have our sweet little girl, it's so amazing.

Week Recap

Audrey is three months old and is so much fun, each and every day she continues to be so content and so happy. She gives us plenty of smiles and has the greatest personality. We are loving our little girl:) Here are some fun pictures from our week.

Brent and Audrey love to cuddle at night.

Mom is always making those crazy noises.

She is starting to get a really strong neck, so we had to try out the bumbo seat, she almost fills out the entire seat, whoa.

I absolutely love this picture, not sure if it's the red pants or what, ha.

Baptism

Today we had Audrey's baptism and everything went really well. Audrey was so good at church and did well with the water on the head. She even gave the crowd a little smile:) My mom was so nice and had everyone over to their house for lunch afterwards, thanks mom!

Curt and Christine: Audrey's godparents

Check it out, she wore the dress I wore for my baptism 29 years ago.

Afterwards we let her relax and try out her activity center. She doesnt' really get it yet, but it was fun to see her in it. She tends to lean forward, ha.

Fall Day

Today was a perfect fall day, we headed out on the trail for a walk and visited Brent's cousins new house and then we started to hear thunder. We thought we had better get rolling to make it back home, we barely got started back and it started sprinkling. We got to the gazebo just in time for the downpour, Audrey slept through it all and we finally made it back home and stayed pretty dry. Then Grandpa and Grandma Wood made it back from their two week vacation and they joined us for supper and showed us their great pictures.

Audrey and Dad having fun:)

OMG, I found it, my thumb, awesome!

Reading

We love reading to Audrey, she is starting to pay much more attention to the pages now, she loves looking at the pictures and bright colors.

Here is Dad pretending that Audrey is riding a motorcycle, complete with sound affects. She loves it:)

I forgot to update everyone on Audrey's big move to her own bedroom. It has been good, she isn't sleeping through the night now, she wakes up once or twice during the night, but I think she is just getting used to her room and things will get more comfortable for her.

Girls Day Out

Audrey spent the day with Brent while I had a girls day out at Marcy's. We went out for brunch, went horse back riding and came back to her house for scrapbooking. It was a wonderful time, thanks Marcy for getting us girls together.

Brent and Audrey had fun obviously, she loves hanging with her dad. They walked to the grocery store for supper supplies and watched football.

You know you are a mom when......

what you order at a restaurant depends on what is easy to eat with one hand while holding a baby.

It's been a nice weekend, we enjoyed a date night last night while my parents watched Audrey and today we hung out with some family friends from Estherville and went for a nice walk on the trail. Tonight is going to be Audrey's first night sleeping in her room, wish us luck. I guess wish me luck, I am bummed. I love having her in our room, I wake up and just look right over at her. It will be nice to have her in her room though, I may sleep a little more sound. I hear her every move and it wakes me up.

Jeans

So, exciting news, I can get my old pre-pregnancy jeans buttoned, ha. They are not attractive in the least bit, but I can get them buttoned and that is a huge step. I wasn't even close before. I yelled downstairs to Brent to come up and check them out, they were basically painted on. Things are moving forward:)

Latest Obsession-Hands

Audrey is learning more and more and is now obsessed with those crazy things that are attached to her arms. To her they are simply amazing. She eats them and sucks on them and just stares at them with amazement. It's awesome to watch her learn and figure things out.

Tina enjoying Audrey's toys. Audrey being amazed with her hand.

We visited the campus at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Brent and I had never really been on that campus and it was kind of fun to walk around. We were really looking for some great fall pictures for his contest at work, but the trees have not changed a ton yet.
