Pumpkin Patch

My mom and I took our annual trip to the pumpkin rack and got our decorations for the fall, it was incredibly muddy, but we had a good time:)

Sunday I went to Christine's bridal shower at Randy and Rachel's house, we had brunch and played some great games.

Sat. night we went out for pizza and came home and chilled out and watched a movie, Thor was being a real pal that night.

Nothing exciting

We had a nice relaxing weekend once again. Friday night we enjoyed hanging out at Westwood for supper with Heidi and Bonnie. Saturday we took Thor to the vet for his annual shots and he only gained one ounce, woo hoo. We went to a surprise 60th birthday for my uncle Len, it was great to see all of my dads side of the family.

Sunday was a very lazy day around the house. We watched the crappy Vikings, which I only made it through the first half and then gave up and went shopping. We went out for pizza at TJ Finnegans, it was excellent. Now it's Monday and back to work, ugghhhh. The weekends just are not long enough.

lazy

I bought this sweet yellow rocking chair at a garage sale this summer for $10, I am glad someone is enjoying it. Lately we go into the spare bedroom and Tina is hanging out in the yellow chair, I love it! My plan is to strip the paint and refinish it, we'll see if that happens, it definately is not going to stay yellow.

Tina and Thor enjoy playing on the bed with their mice.

This weekend has been pretty relaxed. Friday night I went out with a friend I just recently met, she is married to a guy that Brent rides bike with, so that was fun. Saturday Brent and I went shopping, which he absolutely hates, but we wanted to get him some new work shirts. We were not successful after 3 stores, so he gave up. I kept getting off track and he said I only go shopping to find what I am looking for, not to browse at everything, haha. I love shopping:)

My old roommate from college at the U was here for the weekend for her nephews baptism, so her and her husband came over Sat. afternoon and visited, she is 15 weeks pregnant and looks adorable. It was fun to see them.

My grandma is in the hospital, so we are hoping everything is okay with her. She had fluid around her heart and was feeling dizzy. I am heading up to see her today. Hopeully she is feeling better today.

busy weekend

I got my haircut and dyed on Friday for the fall, no more highlights, check it out.

We had a busy weekend, Friday I attempted to take both Tina and Thor to the vet for their annual shots, well I was successful with Tina, but Thor was not going to the vet. It's impossible to get them both rounded up at the same time, so when we got home Thor hissed at Tina all day long, poor girl. He must have smelled the nasty vet smells on her and wasn't liking it. We get to do it all over again in two weeks when Thor goes. Not looking forward to it. Friday night we went to the East/West football game, always a fun game, but neither of us had gone since high school. We are both East graduates, but we sat on the West side this time because we now live in West Mankato and the sun would not be in our eyes, ha. West won:)
Sat. my friend Heidi visited and we went shopping for baby things, she is having a baby in January and we got some fun clothes for the baby girl.
Today I went to Marcy's baby shower, her baby is due in one month. We are wrapping up the weekend with pizza over at my parents house tonight, then back to work tomorrow, weekends go by way too fast.

Awards banquet

Last night we went to the Accounting/Business Law Awards Banquet at MSU where Brent received a scholarship from the accounting department. It was a fun night, well a little boring, but exciting to receive some financial help with the semester and very appreciative. He also received a scholarship through his work, so it was a good last semester for him.

Red Wing

I was on call this weekend, so I did my fair share of working, but we did have a nice time on Monday since that was my day off. Brent's parents picked us up bright and early at 7am and we headed to Cannon Falls. Their is a really nice bike trail that goes all the way to Red Wing. We biked to Red Wing and had lunch at Randy's. It was my first time ever in Red Wing that I can remember and it's an adorable town. I would love to go back and hit up the shopping area. We then biked back to Cannon Falls, it was a great day for a ride, everyone else thought so too. The trail was really busy.
