Hot, Hot, Hot!

We had a great day today, even though it was hotter than ever. We went to Chaska and had a photo shoot with Aunt Christine and then enjoyed some lunch afterwards with the family. This evening we went and visited Grandpa and Grandma Sonnek while they were camping. We had supper with them and Audrey is freaked out by the camper for some reason. How are we to send her off camping with them for a whole weekend if she is afraid of it, hmmmm?

Enjoying a nice cool beverage at the campground.

Audrey's way of playing bean bags.

Spread em Daddy!

Yesterday Audrey was getting so frustrated with Brent. She was pushing her shopping cart right into his legs, he had no idea what she wanted, so he kept moving out of the way and she would get so mad at him, but she wouldn't say anything. Today she came at him with her shopping cart again and he just happened to be moving at the same time and she went right between his legs. Ahhhh ha, he finally figured out what she wanted last night. Too bad she didn't just say, "Spread em Daddy!"

Long week

Wow, it's been a week since I have blogged, it's been a crazy week. Last week a 4 year old girl died at Audrey's daycare from a choking accident. It was horribly sad, Brent works next door to Audrey's daycare facility and saw all the rescue vehicles pulling up. Him and a lot of his coworkers were so nervous watching and waiting to find out what was going on. I ended up meeting with the family at work. People always ask me how I can do my job. I never think twice about it. I love what I do. It makes it so much harder for me to meet with a family that has lost a small child. I think it hits closer to home now that I am a parent myself and could not imagine the pain of losing my little girl. I know this is super sad, but this has been my past week. It's hard to get it out my mind. I really have thought and prayed for this family a lot. Brent, Audrey and I had the best weekend and tried to have as much fun as possible. Here are a few things we enjoyed.

Audrey finally wore the tutu that Grandma Bev made for her, she made it for her at Easter, it's taken a few months , their was something scary about it apparently.

Heading out to the pool with Daddy, she combine a swimsuit top and bottom to create this awesome look!

Box Car

Grandpa Doug made Audrey this sweet car! At daycare Audrey loves the box cars they have and they said she plays in them all the time. Grandpa souped it up a bit and put wheels on it and a lock with a key, which is huge right now. Audrey seems to have a bit of an obsession with keys. She loves this car, some days she will bring her purse out there with her and sit in the car and just drive, and drive, and drive:)

Family Pics

While my brother and April were here we decided it was a good time for family pics. We had Doug come out and take some pictures of the family. They turned out really great! Let's just say with Brent and April both liking to close their eyes and Audrey not looking at the camera we got a great family picture.

Every family got a great picture except for us, can you beleive it, I actually closed my eyes in ours, darn. Audrey and Brent looked incredibly cute. Maybe I'll crop myself out.

Keeping Audrey entertained inbetween pictures.

Our little puddle jumper

Every night when I water the flowers Audrey wants to do some puddle jumping so she asks for her boots. It's quite the combo when she has shorts and boots. Too cute!

Family BBQ

We had such a fun weekend, Audrey got to meet Uncle Adam and Aunt April, it's been tons of fun. First off, we had to have supper from Erbert and Gerberts on Sat. night, it's their favorite thing to have when coming to Minnesota. They don't have that luxury in Washington. Audrey got prepped for their visit by getting a sweet tattoo. She looks bad doesn't she?

We had a family bbq on Sunday. We think April and Brent have the same camera issue, closing their eyes.

Audrey loved playing in the bird bath, gross.

Audrey and Morgan eating together. Morgan loved Audrey and actually was carrying her around some of the time, it's amazing that Audrey would just go with the flow and let her do whatever. We looked over at one point and she was feeding Audrey her salad.

Lisp

The most adorable thing to me right now is Audrey's lisp. The way she says "Audrey's glasses, Audrey's keys, Audrey's seat, it's too cute the way she pronounces those words. The thing I was wondering , do all kids have a lisp when they are little and it eventually goes away or is it something she will need to work on? Either way, it's super cute right now!
