Sweet Corn Days

We took a short trip down to Estherville, IA for Sweet Corn Days and stayed at Mindy's parents house, they were soooooo good to us while we were there. We were taken care of that is for sure. This morning I ran the 5k and Brent and Jon ran the 10k, "Run for the Cob." In Brent and Jon's age group, Jon finished first and Brent finished second. We were so proud of them.

After running we headed off to the parade and the kids were pumped. Audrey kept telling us the whole time, "I need more candy." We just about had finished off our 4th of July parade candy and now we have a whole new bag, ugghhhhh.

As soon as the parade is done it's time for free sweet corn, you would think it would be so caotic with insane lines, but it actually works really slick and we all enjoyed some great food. After lunch Natalie and Audrey enjoyed a little time in Bounch Land.

This was the best picture I could get of the three kids hanging out on the couch. Audrey and Natalie kept pretending to take a nap, ha and Harvey thought he could just lay right in the middle and all would be cool.

The two studs!

I love this sign for the sweet corn "Butter Alley"
